Para Table Tennis Athlete Found Unconscious and Dead by Railway Track: Investigation Underway on the Mysterious Death of David Jacobs!

Kombes Komarudin, the Chief of Police in Central Jakarta, stated that David was observed to be active in Gambir Station from check-in to being on the platform during the aforementioned period. According to Komarudin, David's mobile phone timeline shows that he was at the location where he was found lying at 8:30 pm. This means that he only had a two-minute gap between being in Gambir and being at the location he was found, which is 700 meters away, making it impossible to walk.
Komarudin explained that Jacobs was discovered lying unconscious with a wound at the back of his head near the railway track around 9 pm. The location was not a public area, and it was a railway track with no pedestrian access. However, it was reported that a Surabaya-bound train was passing through the area when David was found.
Despite being unconscious, Jacobs was still alive when he was found. However, he passed away at 3:40 am at Husada Hospital. An autopsy is currently being performed on his body at RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo (RSCM) in Jakarta.
David Jacobs was an accomplished para table tennis athlete, born in Makassar, who regularly won medals in prestigious tournaments. His most recent achievement was winning a bronze medal for Indonesia at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo in 2021. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding his tragic death.***
