PKB's 25th Anniversary: Uniting Indonesian Politics with Strength & Camaraderie. Join the Celebration of #PKB25's Success!

HOT NEWS INDONESIA | Solo, July 23, 2023 - The National Awakening Party, also known as PKB (Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa), commemorated its 25th founding anniversary at Manahan Stadium in Solo, Central Java, on Sunday, July 23, 2023. The event was graced by the presence of PKB's Chairman, Muhaimin Iskandar, who delivered a keynote address and extended his greetings to President Joko Widodo and the other party leaders attending the celebration.

Expressing his gratitude for the presence of the President and the First Lady, Muhaimin conveyed warm thanks to both of them.

During his speech, Muhaimin also acknowledged the presence of Gerindra Party's Chairman, Prabowo Subianto, and the Chairwoman of PDIP's Central Executive Board, Puan Maharani. He deliberately mentioned Prabowo first, emphasizing the close bond between PKB and Gerindra, as both parties have forged a political partnership within the Coalition of Great Indonesia Uprising.

"Apologies, Mbak Puan, I mentioned Prabowo first because we have been in this coalition for eleven months. Fate has a role to play in our journey. Great job, Pak Prabowo, for flying all the way from Paris to Solo for you (PKB members)," said Cak Imin, as he is fondly known, amid thunderous applause and cheers from the PKB members present at the stadium.

After greeting Puan, who was representing PDIP's Chairwoman, Megawati Soekarnoputri, Gus Imin continued by extending his warm regards to Airlangga Hartarto, the Chairman of Golkar Party, and Zulkifli Hasan, the Chairman of PAN (Partai Amanat Nasional).

"Next, I extend my respect to Pakdhe Amal Ghozali, who is representing the Democratic Party. I also extend my greetings to Eva Yuliana, representing NasDem Party. Hey, where's Bang Surya Paloh? Why didn't he dare to come? We were hoping for his presence," Cak Imin said, light-heartedly.

Indeed, Surya Paloh was not seen at the event, and he was represented by Eva Yuliana, a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from NasDem Party. Muhaimin then greeted PPP's Secretary-General, Ahmad Thomafi, before humorously looking for the presence of PKS's Chairman, which he didn't find.

"In the meantime, where's PKS? Aren't they coming?" he asked, once again receiving cheers and applause from the enthusiastic crowd of PKB members filling the Manahan Stadium that afternoon.

The 25th-anniversary celebration of PKB showcased the party's prominent position in Indonesian politics, cemented by its strong coalition ties with other major parties. PKB's Chairman, Muhaimin Iskandar, exuded confidence and camaraderie as he exchanged greetings with fellow party leaders, emphasizing the unity and cooperation that have led to the party's significant success over the past 25 years. As PKB continues to thrive and foster alliances, its impact on Indonesia's political landscape remains a force to be reckoned with.****
