"If it's about the IMB, it's for the area. So, it's just to acknowledge the building, not the land," Suhaena told reporters on Sunday (5/3/2023).
Suhaena said that the residents had the legality to live there, but they did not have an IMB for the land they occupied.
"It's for the building, not the land. It's not for the IMB, but only for the building. Not for the land," she said.
The IMB polemic arose when the PDIP of DKI Jakarta brought up the IMB during the Anies Baswedan era related to settlements affected by the Plumpang Pertamina Depot fire.
"From the beginning, it was known that the Plumpang Pertamina Depot should not be occupied within a certain distance. The land belongs to PT Pertamina but is occupied by residents. However, Anies, while serving as governor, granted a building permit, which is clearly contrary to regulations," said member of DPRD DKI Jakarta Commission B from the PDIP faction, Gilbert Simanjuntak, in a written statement on Saturday (4/3).
According to Gilbert, the residents around the Plumpang Pertamina Depot should have been relocated for safety and security reasons.
However, based on records, Anies issued an IMB in the Tanah Merah settlement in Rawabadak, North Jakarta, in 2021.
"At present, with the existence of fire victims, the residents should be relocated to avoid recurring disasters in the future," said the Head of Badiklatda of PDIP DKI.
Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the NasDem Party, Hermawi Taslim, was surprised that the IMB issued by Anies was related to the Plumpang Depot fire.
He believed that Anies had already been accountable for his work during his tenure as governor.
"Ha-ha-ha... legally, Anies has already been accountable for his work during his tenure as governor," said Hermawi.
Hermawi instead encouraged PDIP to ask the Chairman of the DPRD DKI Jakarta, Prasetio Edi Marsudi, who is a PDIP cadre.
It was thought that by asking the DPRD DKI, the root of the problem could be found.
"PDIP should ask the Chairman of DPRD DKI who is a PDIP cadre. Are there any special records for the Plumpang Depot? If not, then Anies is clear and cannot be sued for anything," he said.
Separately, Geisz Chalifah, an Anies Baswedan volunteer, responded to Gilbert's reference to the IMB regarding the Plumpang Pertamina Depot fire. Geisz considered Gilbert's mindset strange.
"Anies gave the residents an IMB so that they could get justice in public services. Whether they were given an IMB or not, the residents of Kampung Tanah Merah had been living in that area for decades," Geisz told reporters on Sunday (5/3/2023).
"The fire that has occurred twice was caused by negligence in maintenance or because the residents lived in that area. Gilbert's mindset is strange, just like the buzzers on social media," he added.
Geisz considered that not only the Plumpang Depot needed to be evaluated. He said that many other depots needed to be evaluated in terms of maintenance.***
