Sri Mulyani Holds 30 Positions
MANGENJANG.COM - The Finance Minister, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, revealed that she holds 30 positions in addition to her position as Finance Minister.

“I have multiple positions, I have 30 concurrent positions because almost all of them ask me to occupy certain positions,” said Sri Mulyani in a broadcast on a private television station, quoted in Jakarta, Monday (6/3/2023).

This topic is currently under discussion, especially since there are 39 officials at the Ministry of Finance who also hold multiple positions, mostly as Commissioners in SOEs.

"I currently hold 30 positions," she continued.

Some of the positions that she currently holds are Chair of the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK), Vice Chair and Member of SKK Migas, LPS, OJK, BRIN, National Energy Council, KUR, and so on.

However, the State Finance Law states that as a minister, she may only receive one source of income from her many positions.

"I can't accept more than 1 salary," she said.

Although her salary as a minister is set at IDR 5,040,000 per month, with an additional position allowance of IDR 13,608,000 per month, this does not include the various other allowances and facilities provided by the government to ministers.

She admitted that there are multiple rules governing salary and honorarium and that these rules are not always in sync.

"If I am asked to fix it, I will fix it but on the principle of appropriateness," She said.

Furthermore, there is no rule prohibiting her from receiving honorariums as they are different from salaries.

Sri Mulyani added that she will follow ethical principles in this matter.

In contrast, a non-governmental organization, Seknas FITRA, previously revealed that 39 high-ranking officials at the Ministry of Finance hold multiple positions in SOEs, which violates state regulations and is prone to conflicts of interest.***
